Over the last 3 years, I tried many products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite being reading many excellent reviews &#8211; many of these products still irritated my skin. Either with a severe allergic reaction upon contact (i.e. manuka honey), a stinging sensation or skin reddening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These 8 products I share in the video above &#8211; are the ones that I have tried and continued to use today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I share in the video how these products help me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every one&#8217;s skin and eczema condition is unique &#8211; I am sharing what works for me &#8211; maybe it might help someone out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details of products, like the ingredients list, I have hyperlinked them to the product site. This is not a sponsored post and I purchased all the products with my own money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*reminder* When trying out new skin care products, consider trying it first on a small patch of skin (not face or neck!), just to see how your skin reacts to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3gNLwCv\" target=\"_blank\">The Soap Works&#8217; Pure Vegetable Glycerin Soap <\/a><\/strong><\/em><br>&#8211; I use it daily on my face and body<br>&#8211; unscented + mild<br>&#8211; no stinging sensation &#8211; <em> I started using this when 60% recovered from TSW, not sure if it would have the stinging sensation when my TSW was at its worst. <\/em>(See #2)<br>&#8211; a simple &amp; affordable soap<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3aQ18BB\" target=\"_blank\">La Roche-Posay TOLERIANE Dermo-Cleanser <\/a><\/strong><\/em> <br>&#8211; currently, I use this only when there are dry, flaky eczema areas after rinsing off the soap in #1.<br>&#8211; During the worst state of TSW, I used this daily as a face and body wash and it didn&#8217;t have any stinging sensation.<br>&#8211; effective also in removing make up &#8211; apply, wipe &amp; wash<br>&#8211; very gentle and mild<br>&#8211; hydrates &amp; moisturizes skin after use<br><strong>*TIP*<\/strong> some stores or dermatogist clinics that carry this product may have free small samples for you to try. Ask for a few so you can test it out over a few days.<br><strong>*NOTE*<\/strong> doesn&#8217;t lather at all and may feel like its not cleaning the skin. But it works.<br>|<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3aMzpBB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em><strong>Av\u00e8ne Thermal Spring Water<\/strong><\/em> <\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3gWVdOO\" target=\"_blank\"><br><\/a>&#8211; soothes and calms TSW &amp; chronic eczema.<br>&#8211; use it as a toner daily. pat it in to the skin.<br>&#8211; also use it with moisturizer and pat it in.<br>&#8211; sometimes also use it with hair dryer set on low cool setting to calm skin down<br>&#8211; it helps calm dry irritated TSW\/eczema skin <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3t4sWbJ\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Av\u00e8ne<\/strong><\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3gOVgwd\"><strong><em> Cicalfate <\/em><\/strong><\/a><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3t4sWbJ\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Restorative Hand Cream<\/strong><\/a><\/em><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3t4sWbJ\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><\/strong>  <br>&#8211; my main daily moisturizer during hot humid day &amp; summer<br>&#8211; during fall\/winter, I use it on as well, in addition to the XeraCalm balm, when my skin calls for it<br>&#8211; I use it as a hand cream, face and body moisturizer<br>&#8211; no stinging sensation<br>&#8211; very calming on TSW skin, eczema rashes<br>&#8211; not greasy and skin easily absorbs<br>&#8211; contains little bit of zinc<br><strong>*TIP*<\/strong> <em>some drug stores may have free samples if you ask.<\/em><br><strong>*NOTE* <\/strong><em> Av\u00e8ne  has a similar product called <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3t4sWbJ\">Cicalfate+<\/a> supposed to be the complementary product for face and body. However, I tried it once and it didn&#8217;t work for me.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-style: italic;\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3xxOQaF\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Av\u00e8ne <\/strong><\/a><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3xxOQaF\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Xera<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3xxOQaF\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Calm AD. Lipid-replenishing Balm<\/strong><\/a><\/em> <br>&#8211; made a huge difference in comfort and skin relief when I was in the worst state of TSW<br>&#8211; my main daily face and body moisturizer during fall &amp; winter<br>&#8211; during summer: only use as spot treatment on dry, flaky skin<br>&#8211; no stinging sensation<br>&#8211; slightly greasy but a little goes  long way<br><strong>*TIP*<\/strong> <em>some drug stores may have small free samples &#8211; ask for a few days supply as the bottles are tiny.<\/em><br><strong>*NOTE*<\/strong> <em>Avene has a similar product called the XeraCalm A.D. Lipid-replenishing CREAM. But it didn&#8217;t work for me.<br><\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3aQeIVu\"><strong><em>Est\u00e9e Lauder <\/em><\/strong><\/a><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3aQeIVu\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Advanced Night Repair Serum<\/strong><\/a><\/em> <br>&#8211; been using this for over 10 years<br>&#8211; I trust this product on my skin<br>&#8211; use at night on face and neck<br>&#8211; no stinging sensation (even during TSW)<br>&#8211; not greasy nor oily <br>&#8211; *TIP* You can go to most Est\u00e9e Lauder beauty counters in major department stores and they will let you try the product out. Some places may give you free samples.<br>&#8211; *NOTE* A little went a long way before TSW issues. Somehow during TSW my skin seemed to absorb a lot more of this product. Hence I stopped using it daily and only use it on self care days.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3JCG8jZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Ointment (White<\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pain Relieving Ointment (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tigerbalm.com\/ca\/pages\/tb_product\/TIGER_BALM_WHITE\" target=\"_blank\">)<\/a><\/strong><\/em> <br>by Tiger Balm<br>&#8211; I only use this when required.<br> &#8211; not suitable for TSW or inflamed skin, as may worsen it. <br>&#8211; I use this as a spot treatment to stop itch that happens on intact skin, mild rash or aggravated scabs<br>&#8211; cooling menthol sensation stops me from feeling the itch. <br>&#8211; *NOTE*: Don&#8217;t apply on too many areas of the body, as you might suddenly feel very cold and have to wait out the menthol sensation.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em><a aria-label=\"Rouger Ihle's Paste Zinc Oxide 25%  (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/well.ca\/products\/rougier-ihles-paste_6592.html\" target=\"_blank\">Rouger Ihle&#8217;s Paste Zinc Oxide 25%<\/a><\/em><\/strong> <br>by ROUGIER<br>&#8211; I only use this when required<br>&#8211; I used it on TSW &amp; chronic eczema, broken skin<br>&#8211; relieves skin pain caused by TSW\/eczema<br>&#8211; many zinc oxide creams or other brands of Ihle&#8217;s Paste,  doesn&#8217;t stick to the skin and tends to rub off easily causing distractions and irritations during the day but ROUGHER Ihle&#8217;s Paste is the only one I found that works well and is effective.<br><strong>*TIP*<\/strong> They have small 150g tubs that goes a very long way and is less than CAN$10. The link above &#8211; sells a 500g tub which is way too much for me &#8211; but I hyperlinked it as it shows the ingredients.<br><strong>*NOTE*<\/strong> Ihle&#8217;s Paste has many brands. Rougier brand may seem hard to find, but most pharmacies carry it, sometimes gotta show them the photo of the product.
